- The Dong Cao catchment (49ha) is located close to Dong Cao village in Tien Xuan Commune, Hanoi province (60 km West of Hanoi) - North Vietnam.
- Three fitted sub-catchments are studied in this peri-urban watershed facing important land-use changes since 2000 switch from cassava + maize to Acacia mangium + feeding stuffs then village encroachment.
- Geology consists to schist and the range of the slope varied from 20 to 60%.
- Large inter-disciplinary survey including land-use, hydrology, climatology, ecology, soil science and socio-economy from 2002.
